A Halloween Supper Club

We hosted our Supper Club here on the 12th of October.  I had a great time getting the house Halloween ready for everyone.  Here are some of our decorations....
I got to use my Vampire Diaries books in the decor!! :)
The pictures on the wall/mirror are the kind that look different depending on the angle you are looking at them. They are scary at one angle and normal at another.
Here is my WICKED pumpkins.  I spray painted the pumpkins white (which is a lot harder than you would think) and then put cut out letters on them to spell out Wicked.  I put the food on either side of them.
This was my favorite thing.  This is what everyone saw when they walked in the front door.
This is my entry way table.  They are witches hats that light up.  I got them from our fall festival at school last year.
 My fireplace.
Angie, these are the sticks I was spray painting....
 Front of house.
This is the island in our kitchen.  We served Jason's new favorite drink which is whip cream flavored vodka with orange soda.  We called it Brain Juice. :)
Jason also had fun with a few other drinks.  He made candy corn martinis and cotton candy martinis.
Here is a picture of our friend, Sterling, as he gets some Brain Juice.  Jason put dry ice in the pot to make it look cool.  I think it looked awesome!
I told the ladies to wear witches hats.  Love my supper club friends!
We had such a fun night!! A big thank you to Martin & Linda for keeping the kids!!!

Zach's Soccer

Last Saturday Zachary had a soccer game. I have been wanting to buy a zoom lens but wasn't sure which one and a friend of mine let me borrow hers to try. Here are a few pictures I took that day. Here is Zach making a goal!!You can't see it that well but this is Zach's reaction to scoring a goal (whether he made it or one of his teammates.)
This made me laugh. I guess he is trying to intimidate the opponent.

Action shot! I ended up ordering a different zoom lens than the one I borrowed and it should arrive either today or tomorrow. Can't wait!

Aggies vs. KU

Well it has been way too long since I posted last. I still need to post pictures of our trip to Florida last summer but I'm not sure if that will ever happen. I've been very busy with my photography business which is great. My new years resolution is to take more pictures of my own kids though. We went to see the Aggies play KU this past fall. It was a blow out game so not that much fun to watch but the kids had a blast. This was Addie's first time to come to a game. We got to the stadium a couple hours before the game started because the kids could play some easy games and win promotional stuff like wristbands, pompoms, etc. We got into the actual stadium an hour before the game started and literally less that 2 minutes into the game Addie said she was ready to leave. :) We did manage to get her to stay until half time. Like I said, the game was a blowout so we didn't miss much in the second half. Here are a few pictures from our trip!

This is one of the promotional items they won.
One of the games they played.

They had this set up for kids to play on...

Jason and Addie watching the Corp of Cadets band march in.

Addie is pouting about something. I can't remember what it was but I thought it was funny. :)

Nice.

Addie wondering what Jason is doing (he's doing some Aggie cheer).

George Bush Sr. was there!

A rare family picture. Zach is trying to give Addie bunny ears. I'm so happy he's learned out to do that.

Wacky Tacky Tuesday!

As Zachary was brushing his teeth today he says, "Oh it's Wacky Tacky Tuesday!" So we had to quickly come up with something a little wacky to wear. Hopefully we accomplished that. Still such a handsome boy even if he's dressed a little tacky.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Thing 1 & Thing 3

Lately I had been feeling fairly good about my photography skills. Not that I thought I was so good I still didn't have a lot to learn but I was getting better. Those thoughts all came crashing down yesterday when I visited my good friend, Kelly Holder's, photography blog. She is absolutely an amazing photographer. I hope to be as good as her one day. Anyways, after looking at all of her latest pictures I decided I needed to get back into practicing in between client sessions. Today the kids had on their Thing 1 & Thing 3 shirts that they got in Florida this summer so I decided to take some pics in the backyard. Of course I am biased but I think they look so cute in the pictures I wanted to put together a storyboard. I am thinking I may order one of these to put in their bathroom. I just can't decide which one I like better. Thoughts??

Our Summer Vacation

This summer our family went on vacation to Florida. We toured NASA, went to Universal Studios, and stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel. I'm going to have to break up the posts so I can fit all of the pictures in. The first thing we did was go to NASA and take a tour. The very last shuttle launch was happening that week so we were hoping to get a closer glimpse of the shuttle before it was retired. There are quite a few pictures so I put them into a slide show because I couldn't decide which ones to take out. Unfortunately we didn't get as close to the shuttle as we would have liked. AND when we did take the tour to see it (and get as close as anyone can get who doesn't work there) they were servicing it so the "arm" of the launch pad (or whatever that is called) was open and covering most of it up. You will see from the picture we only really got to see the tip top of it (from far away - did I mention that we didn't get very close to it?). Anyways, it was really neat to see all of it. Jason especially enjoyed it. He is a very big space enthusiast. It was extremely hot the entire time we were in Florida and this was no exception. Here are the pictures I took that day....

Future Soccer Stars

Last night I celebrated my 39th birthday by watching Zachary and Addison play soccer. We have signed them up to do a training academy for like 10 weeks or something like that. This is Addie's first time to put on her soccer gear and do any kind of organized sport. She was very excited. I think it's going to be a great experience for both of them. Addie will be doing a mini season that starts in Sep. Zachary is doing the regular season which starts in November. I told them I wanted to take their picture and they positioned themselves. I think they are finally getting the hang of posing for me!!! Aren't they precious?!?!

I am hoping to blog about our fun trip we took to Florida this summer. I've been so busy with taking pictures for other people I've kind of slacked off on my own family. I promise to do better this fall. Stay tuned.....
