My new dining room!

Well it's finally done! Yippee!!! I have been wanting to redo my dining room ever since we moved in. Not the furniture but the wall color and drapes. The builder painted it a mauve color and I really don't like mauve. Jason surprisingly liked it so I didn't change it. The dining room is right off of the kitchen so I look at it all the time. I had bought these cheap drapes to go in there and have never been very happy with it. We had a garage sale a few weeks ago and I made quite a bit (for a garage sale anyway) so I thought I am finally going to buy the drapery treatments that I really want with the money. After I bought them I picked out a paint color. (This all goes with the rug that we bought when we first moved in. Obviously those are expensive so I didn't want to change that.) I got it painted on Tuesday and on Wednesday Jason hung the massive curtain rods for me. Thanks honey! I am SOOOO happy with the results. The room seems bigger and I like the chandelier so much more than I did with the mauve. I was planning on changing that too but now I like it a lot! Someday I am going to recover the chair cushions but for now I'm just going to enjoy my non-mauve dining room. See for yourself...........

Todays Modeling Session

Here are a few pictures of Addie and Sophie from today. Sarah and Sophie stopped by to see my newly decorated dining room (more on that later) and when I saw Sophie's outfit I knew I had to take a few pics of them together.
Super Star!
There are no bows allowed around me. I can't wear them so noone else can.

Our Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at the bay (Gulf Shores, AL). It was the four of us and Martin and Linda. We got there on Wednesday and stayed through Saturday. Thursday we had a relaxing day and then had Thanksgiving dinner. The food was extremely good this year. On Friday I got up and left the house a little after 4 a.m. to do some shopping. It's about a 25 minute drive to the outlet mall from the house. I got there around five. The outlet mall had opened at midnight and was opened all night until 10 pm Friday night!! After that I hit Old Time Pottery, Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond. I probably could have shopped all day but I had a date with my husband and son to go to "The Track" that afternoon so I called it a day around nine. The Track is a family fun center that has race tracks and kids rides. It was the first time we have taken Zachary and he had a blast! As you can see from the pictures below........

Zachary & Daddy at the first race track.
They went in one cart together and I went by myself. Jason lapped everyone on the course. (To many years of playing car racing games if you ask me.)
This is at the second race track "Old Woody." It's a wooden one, obviously, and I was so scared a splinter was going to fly up into my eye! You should have seen the track. It was a bit worn.
Family pic in front of Woody.
Zachary on the Ferris Wheel.
Zachary on the train.
Friday afternoon we got back in time to watch Texas A&M beat Texas!!!! Gig 'Em Aggies!!! It was a fun game to watch. It was a good day for the Aggies. Not only did they win the game but they got rid of their crappy coach as well!!! I think the Aggies won because Addison & Zachary wore their A&M shirts. See below........
That night Zachary put on one of his shows. He calls it the "Wiggles Show" but we all know it's the "Zachary Rollins Show." He starts out by standing on the 'drums' and announcing the show. "Hello everybody! It's the Wiggles Show!"
(As you can see he is wearing his Curious George jacket.)
Then he proceeds to play the drums. I'm not exactly sure what song he was playing that night.
After the drums he decided to get his microphone and sing. Zachary loves looking at his reflection. A star in the making folks, I am telling you.
Here is Addie sitting on daddy's lap watching the show.
Saturday we headed home. It was such a nice relaxing weekend. The weather was a bit crazy though. I swear it was almost hurricane force winds most of the weekend. The houses are up so many feet high so they rock when the wind is real bad. They were swaying back and forth most of the time we were there! Hope everyone had a wonderful & safe Thanksgiving!!

I wanted to share a couple pictures that Zachary took himself. The second one made me laugh because he was taking pictures of what's important to him!

Hey, come over this way.

Your hair is so soft, what product do you use?
Does it smell good? Will it make my hair grow?

Happy Birthday Honey!

Today is my husband Jason's birthday!! Happy Birthday Honey!! Jason is such a wonderful husband and an amazing father. The three of us are so incredibly lucky. He turns the big 3-4 today. (I know he would like all of you to know that he is still younger than I am.) Last night we went to dinner at Emeril's restaurant with his family to celebrate. We had a great time. Jason ordered a stuffed lobster. Biggest one any of them had every seen! I hope you have a great day sweetie!

Charity Ball

Last Saturday night we went to a Charity Ball that the Junior Auxiliary puts on every year. I have never been to a ball before so I was really excited. My sister in law, Sarah, is in the J.A. so I knew we'd at least know her and John. Turns out I knew quite a few people from tennis there. We had so much fun. It was at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi. We decided to stay the night so the kids spent the night with Jason's parents. (Thanks Martin and Linda!!) The place where they had it was really neat. The downstairs had tables set up and a really nice buffet. There was also a stage (this is where they hold concerts) and a great band was playing that night. Upstairs there were a couple hundred items you could bid on (silent auction) so we enjoyed looking at all of it and bidding on a few things. I actually won an autographed tennis ball of Andre Agassi. I'm hoping it's his real signature. If it's not at least the money went to charity (it's a children's charity). It was so much fun and I look forward to going again next year! Here are a few pictures from that night......

I know it looks like my husband is trying to get away from me but he's not!

John tried to get the Hard Rock sign in the back but the lights were messing up the focus. You can kind of see it though.

I think these two look a lot alike in this picture.

Addison's Christening

We had Addison baptized last Sunday. It was a wonderful day. Started out great because with the time change we got to sleep in an extra hour. Both kids slept until eight which was actually NINE! We felt like brand new people. Anyways, it was a gorgeous day out. We had Addie baptized at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She did so good throughout the service. She didn't fuss at all and didn't even cry when Father Roberts took her and dunked her head completely under water. Okay not really, he just wiped some on her head. After the service we headed to Martin and Linda's house for a wonderful brunch. Linda made everything so special. We got to enjoy their absolutely beautiful covered back patio. I wish I had pictures to show everyone because it's like a five star resort type patio! We had lots of good food and champagne as well! I really wish my family could have been there as well. Zachary and Hutson got to spend the day together and that is always fun for the both of them. I will include pics of them because they are just so cute together. Here are a few pictures from that day. Unfortunately I didn't get a really good picture of Addison in her Christening gown that Linda bought for her. It was beautiful.

Our Halloween

We had so much fun this Halloween. Zachary really got in to it. This year we had Linda and Martin come over and watch Addison while we took Zachary over to a really neat neighborhood to trick or treat. Our cousins, Chuck and Amy, had some friends who were hosting their church group to a party and neighborhood trick or treating. They blocked off the street (it was a dead end street) and almost all of the houses participated. Zach loved going up and saying 'trick or treat!' As you can see from the pictures Jason and I actually dressed up as well. Wouldn't it have been so cute if Zachary had been a pirate too! A little pirate family. Ahhh. Anyways, check out the pictures........

This is a sucker Zachary got from one of his classmates.
I think he only ate about a 1/4 of it before he gave up.
