Disney World - Days Four & Five

Our fourth day at Disney World was a little less exciting. We took a break from the parks. I really wanted some shopping time and Jason wanted to take Zach to Disney Quest which is a large arcade. Disney Quest is located in Downtown Disney which has some shops, bars, restaurants, etc. Here Z is in front of something I'm not sure what.

On our fifth and final day we went to Epcot.

The first thing we did was called Test Track. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it. But you go in a car and it's like a test track and at the end you go really fast. Zachary really enjoyed it so we did it twice. After that Jason went and did the Mission Space. Zachary was too small to go on it so he and I went and got icees. I'm actually glad Z couldn't go on it because Jason said it basically spun you around really fast. Here are Jason and Z in "Mexico" at the restaurant we ate at for lunch.

We went to the Finding Nemo aquarium and then to Soarin'. It was actually pretty neat. It was a huge movie screen and you sat in these seats that strapped you in and moved like you were in an airplane (basically just back and forth altho it leaned forward a little). The movie was different things like flying over the mountains, the desert, etc. After that we finally made it to the meet and greet with the main Disney characters. All day Zach was asking to see Mickey. We didn't see Daisy anywhere all week which was a little weird.
It started sprinkling when we were leaving Epcot. We took the monorail back to our hotel and chilled out in the room for a while while it rained. After it stopped raining we decided to go back to the Magic Kingdom for our last night. Here is Zach checking out his rain gear in the mirror of our bathroom.

Of course we had to go on Splash Mountain one last time. Here we are walking up to go get on it.
And here are Jason and Z after it was over. We actually got pretty wet that time.
We had such a fantastic time. We cannot wait to go back with both kids some day. We'll probably wait till Addison is at least four years old.

Zachary's T-Ball Game

I am going to take a break from my Disney trip to show you some pictures of Zachary's Tball game that he had last night. He's not really that in to it but it's good for him to get used to participating in group activities. I think he'd probably prefer soccer since you run around a lot more. Here he is doing his practice swing.

I had a hard time taking pictures through the fence so Z isn't centered but he's off to the right playing "air" guitar with the bat. You can see he is really focused.

It took him a while to actually make contact with the ball. He hit the T a couple times and then swung and missed a few times. Luckily they pretty much get as much time as they need to hit the ball. He finally did and ran to first place. After he got to first he took a bow (obviously - we WERE clapping you know). He said, "Thank you very much!"

After he got back to the dugout he came over to see me. Of course people were clapping for the kids who were still batting but I think Z thought it was all for him. He bowed...
....and said, "Thank you very much!"

He did go out on the field when it was their turn. He didn't last very long. He wanted to come sit by me in the stands. Here he is with Jason out in the field.
This is what Addie did most of the time.....eat.
Gavin actually has a brother that is only 9 days older than Addie. They chit chatted a little.

Disney World - Day Three

On day three we decided to go back to MGM Studios so Zachary could meet Buzz & Woody. We first walked around a bit. We weren't sure if Zachary would like the Tower of Terror (behind Jason and Zach in this picture). It goes through a haunted old hotel (maybe? I guess it's a hotel) and then out of nowhere drops you I don't know how many stories. We decided we'd probably better not take him. As we were walking around this area he was on Jason's shoulders and as we walked by this security guy who was standing around helping direct people Zach goes, "Excuse me Mister, do you know where Mickey's Clubhouse is?" It was so cute.Here are Jason and Zach in front of my favorite ride at Disney World. Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster. This was the one ride I had to go on. Unfortunately Zach isn't tall enough to go on it although I think he would have enjoyed it. It's inside and completely dark except for some neon lights. You go from 0 to 60 in like 2.8 seconds. And the first thing you do is go upside down. It's awesome. We followed the security guys directions to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. They were just puppets. Zach seemed to enjoy it though. It had a lot of the characters on Playhouse Disney. Here are a few.

After the show was over there was Quincy from Little Einsteins (one of Z's favorite shows). As Zach and Jason waited in line to meet him I ran over to go on the Aerosmith ride. When I finished I found Z and Jason in line to meet Buzz and Woody. I think this was the longest we waited for anything the entire trip. The look on Z's face was worth it though. Such a funny expression.I signed us up for a character lunch so Z could meet some more of his favorites. Leo from little Einsteins is definitely one of those. Zach was so excited.

After lunch Jason went to some car racing show or something like that so Zachary and I went to a play ground that they had at the park. It was really neat. It had tunnels and slides and a big net that you could crawl around in.

After that we decided to go back to the hotel and rest. We had a big night ahead of us. Jason had gotten us tickets to go to the "Not So Scary Halloween Party" that they were having at the Magic Kingdom. I am so glad he did that because it was so much fun. The park was open till midnight. We stayed till at least 11 if not 11:30. Anyways, we decided to take the ferry boat over to the park for something different.

Jason took this picture of our hotel. You can actually see the big volcano that has the slide that goes into the pool. There's our little beach where we watched the fireworks. It was so neat to be at the park at night. Like I said you had to pay extra to be there that night so it wasn't as crowded. Here are Z and Jason in front of the entrance to the kids area. It had a little roller coaster, a train ride and other small kiddy rides. Zachary got to meet Mickey a number of times. This time he was dressed in his Halloween outfit.

We decided to eat dinner at the Starlight Cafe. They were having a dance party there that night with Lelo & Stitch. I'm so glad we ate there because it was a lot of fun. Great music, like being in a club! A lot of the kids were dancing on the dance floor. They had a big fireworks display that night (even bigger than they normally do). The castle was all lit up and looked so cool. I took a lot more pictures that this but I narrowed it down. It was just so neat and pretty.

There was a parade that night as well. It was really neat but none of my pictures turned out very good. There were lots and lots of lights so it messed up my focus. Most are pretty blurry. We went on Thunder Mountain again and Splash Mountain. It was a lot of fun in the dark. We had so much fun and I'm proud of Z for staying up so late and being so good about it. He fell asleep on the way home. We took the boat again.
