Baby Trap

This is a great way to contain Addison if I need to get a few things done around the house. Not sure she's as happy about it as I am.

"Isn't this fun being trapped in here?"
"Wait a minute. This is actually embarrassing."
"Oh my gosh I'm never going to get out of here!"
"PLEASE, no pictures! I'm so humiliated!"
"I'm only teasin' I think it's funny!"

Spring is in the air

Okay not really, but kinda. It is still "winter" down here but it's in the sixties this morning so I just felt like breaking out the spring clothes. It's a little dreary outside and it's probably fixin' to rain any minute but Addison brightens up the house in this little outfit! Don't you agree???

Kiss Me I'm American!

Super Bowl Sunday

This year for the Super Bowl Jason and I went over to John & Sarah's. We had a fabulous time visiting, eating, drinking and watching a great game! Every year I say, "Okay I am really going to watch the commercials this time." and every year I forget because I'm chatting or eating or doing something. This year was no exception. I did get to see a few commercials, altho' none that I thought were hysterical. I did enjoy the game though. I was rooting for Eli and the Giants. Tom Brady is just too pretty and won too many games this year to deserve to win.
John cooked up some crawfish for everyone. Here is one of the poor little suckers minutes before his death.
Here are Sarah, Justin & Julie enjoying the crawfish, potatoes, garlic and corn. And yes, that is my cooler. If I had known what was going in it I wouldn't have brought it!!!!Ms. Julie enjoying a refreshment and pregame show.
Me and my goddaughter, Sophie.
This is a game 'Pop the Pirate' that we played. You take those little swords and stick them in and one of the slots makes the pirate pop up. It's pretty funny. I should have gotten pictures of the other games we played. One is 'Rock Band' which is an XBOX 360 game. So much fun. We jammed out like a real band! The other is this shocker game where four people hold on to these handles and the last one to push their button when the light turns green gets shocked. Poor Sophie got scared when her daddy yelled from getting shocked. We had to take it outside after that.
Here is the 60 inch plasma we got to watch the game on. I have to admit, watching football in HD on a 60 inch screen is the way to go.
Thanks John & Sarah for hosting this years Super Bowl party. We had a great time!!!

Hey, throw me somethin' Mister!

On Saturday Jason, Zachary and I went to Mobile to go to a Mardi Gras parade. We have them around Gulfport but they are so much better in Mobile and in New Orleans. N.O. is a little too crazy for us so we opted for Mobile. It was a really nice day, perfect parade weather. It was great because the traffic wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it was going to be and we ended up getting a really good parking spot. We found a place to stand that was right at the beginning of the parade so we were able to leave really easily after it was over. It only lasted about 40 minutes at the most but that was about all Zachary wanted to see. Here he is waiting for the parade to start.
This float made me think of my family and friends back in Kansas (the sunflowers, not the enormous butterflies).
The floats just kept getting bigger and better.
God Bless America!
I thought this pirate one was really neat.
Here we are after the parade was over. Wish I would have kept my sunglasses on! We caught a lot more beads than we have around our necks (they are in the bag I'm holding). We also caught a lot of stuffed animals, frisbees, candy, moonpies, etc. It was a great time!
