The Faulkner's Visit: Summer of 2009

We had such a good time with Tracy, Jeff, Reed & Graham. So sad to see them leave. Zachary had so much fun playing with the boys.

Waiting for Gavin

Zachary's best friend, Gavin, spent the night last Friday night. He came over around 5:30 that evening. As soon as Zach woke up Friday morning he started asking for Gavin. Needless to say it was a long day for him. Here he is waiting outside in the driveway because he just couldn't stay inside and wait any longer.

Addison's First Haircut

This morning I took Addison to get her first haircut. Looking back at my baby pictures I had exactly the same hair that Addie does now. Full on mullet. She didn't stand a chance. I took her to my friend, Bevin, who cuts my hair. Here she is before we left.

Of course I had to get a picture of her sweet outfit.
I was hoping that she would sit by herself so I could take pictures of her. But she wasn't having any of that. A nice woman who was getting her hair colored offered to snap a few pictures for me.

I tried leaning out of the way of the picture. Obviously it didn't work.

Doesn't she look so excited! She actually did really well. She didn't cry at all but was very interested in what was going on around her. She kept turning her head. But Bevin was very patient and did a great job.

After Bevin was finished Zachary showed Addie what her hair looked like in the mirror. I think she looks precious.

We went over to Linda's after to drop Zachary off (they went to a movie this afternoon). Addie decided to play the harmonica for a little bit.

This picture isn't all that great but it's the only one I have of this side of her hair. Hopefully I'll get a better picture in the next few days.

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy fourth of July. We are heading back to the bay this afternoon. Looking forward to fun in the sun, watching fireworks, drinking a few beers, and visiting with family (whom we don't get to see very often). Here is a picture of Zachary and Martin from last weekend. Zachary gave Pop these tshirts for Christmas and they are finally getting to wear them. They actually say "Pop" and "Zachary." I put Addie in piggy tails today. It's a little hard to see since she has dark hair and the fireplace is dark behind her. She looks so much older though. So sweet!
