Easter Weekend Part 3

Saturday after the beach the girls had a good time playing together. I am so happy they have each other to play with!
Aunt Say Say got them to play Ring a Round a Rosey.
Ring a round a rosey....
...pocket full of posey....
....ashes, ashes....
...we all fall down! (except for Sophie)
Sunday morning the Easter bunny came....
Then we all went to church. It was a nice service. It was different in the fact that the priest sang some of the sermon. Both Jason and I thought it was a little weird (and I would think hard for the priest) but we liked the songs better than at our own church. I think maybe they were a little more contemporary, just easier to sing. The congregation was very welcoming to all of us and they set up an egg hunt for the children after the service. They even provided the baskets which the kids got to keep!
Sweet Sophie in her Easter dress
Addison hunting some eggs.
She carried around a cookie while she did it.
I really wanted to get a good picture of the kids together all dressed up but it just didn't work out. Addison was distracted by a pretty flower.
Our sweet and handsome Zachary.

Hope everyone had a happy Easter!!

Easter Weekend Part 2

Over the Easter weekend we all took the kids over to the Gulf side so they could play in the waves. They had SO much fun. Zachary especially. So much so that I hardly have any pictures of him (close up at least). He pretty much stayed out in the water waiting for the waves to come in.
Addison loves the water just as much as her brother.
I took a lot of pictures of Sophie. She stayed up by the beach. She loves the water just as much as the other two but is a little more careful about it. I thought this picture was really neat because you can see her reflection in the water/sand.
I had fun just taking shots of her as she walked around....
"Hey!"
We tried hard to get a good picture of the three of them. Still didn't get one of all three looking in the right direction!
Addison's face cracks me up in this picture.
Daddy & their little girls.
Linda & Sarah
I tried getting a little footprint in the sand but they weren't showing up very well. Still think this picture is sweet.I should let y'all believe that Addison drew this happy face but it was Jason. :)
Addie was freezing from playing in the water. She tried laying down to warm up.
And here are the two reasons we have such a wonderful place to retreat to on the weekends.

Linda aka Grandmama

Easter Weekend

We went to the bay for Easter weekend. This post would be super long if I put everything in it so I am going to break it up into three different ones. We had a great time. I had bought a washers game from Wal-mart and so we got that out on Friday. It was a lot of fun. For those of you who don't know washers it's basically two square boxes with a big PVC pipe in the middle of it. You set them about 20 feet apart and then try and throw washers into it. You get one point for making it into the box and three points for actually making it into the pipe. It's not as easy as it sounds but it's a ton of fun. Here are the guys playing Friday night. As you can see we built another bonfire because Zachary just loves them. He's all about the smores.
Here are Zachary and Jason playing on Saturday. You aren't suppose to stand this close but Zach insisted. :) You can see the box better in this picture.Addison LOVES to play in the water. Doesn't matter that the water is freezing either.
Saturday afternoon Grandmama got everything ready for the kids to dye Easter eggs. Zachary has done this a number of times but it was the first time for the girls.
We had busy day on Saturday. Jason built a fort out of lumber for the kids to play in.
Here is Zachary enjoying his lunch on the deck.
That afternoon Zachary and Pop walked around and gathered fresh flowers to put in their Easter baskets so the Easter bunny would have something to eat.
Next I am going to post pictures from our trip over the the gulf side where the kids played in the water. They had SO much fun....
