Game, Set, Match

This weekend I played in a tennis tournament with my friend, Alicia. We played 3.0 doubles. For those of you who don't know anything about tennis this post may be a tad bit confusing to you. If that is the case, sorry. Anyways, there were only 5 teams in our bracket so that meant we would only get to play two matches win or lose. We ended up having to play the number one seeded team on Saturday and it was a really close match. We ended up winning the first set 7-5 and lost the second set 5-7. So we had to play a ten point tie breaker (the first one to ten points by two). Thankfully we pulled it out and won 12-10. I told you it was close!

Today, Sunday, we played the number two seeded team in the finals (which in my opinion should have been seeded number one). Again it was a really close match. We lost the first set 4-6 and then won the second set 7-6 and then lost the ten point tie breaker 8-10. I have to say I am really proud of Alicia and I because these two gals have played together a lot (this is the first time Alicia and I have played together) AND they are playing in the 3.5 doubles bracket as well. Not only are they playing in the 3.5 bracket, they are winning in the 3.5 bracket. And no one in the 3.5 bracket has made them go to a tie break. So even though we didn't come out victorious today we still gave them a tough time and made them work for it.
