Our poor Simon had to have surgery on his knee today. He had a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. As you can see on his knee he has staples that will stay in for 14 days. The doctor said he will probably need two months to recover. Which means we'll have to board him every time we go to the bay for the next couple months. We actually don't have plans to go for about another month so that is good. I had taken a close up picture of the staples but I will spare you that view. It's not fun to look at. Right now he's pretty drugged up and hopefully will just sleep all night comfortably. We aren't sure how this happened. He is over weight because he's been on steroids due to his allergy problems. The doc said he could have hurt it going up and down the stairs or if he stepped in a hole outside. Just not sure. Poor thing. Please say a prayer for him that he recovers quickly.

Awwww.... what a sweetheart - he looks so sad in the picture though... :(
I will for sure think good thoughts for him tonight - I hope he feels better soon.
Justin and I prayed for him today. Simon is very blessed to have you Erin, a great mama, to take care of him. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.
Poor guy--I'm so sorry he had to go through that! I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for him. He and Hope are still in that race for the "most expensive dog in the world" title!
