Spring time down here is so pretty thanks to all of the Azaleas. They are every where. This bush is in between our house and our neighbors. It's actually their bush but we get to enjoy its beauty!! I wish the Azaleas bloomed all year round.
Like I said in my last post, I hosted a Sip & See for Sarah and Will a couple of weekends ago. The flowerbeds in the new house were a complete mess. I don't think the previous owners did anything with them. I really would have liked to have ripped everything out and started from scratch but that would be expensive and time consuming. I did take out a few bushes but mainly I pulled the weeds, planted some new flowers and put pine straw down. I REALLY want to take out those huge over grown Sago Palms that are on either side of the front door but I'm not sure if I'll be able to talk Jason into that or not. They are just way too big and I think a big pot on either side of the walkway with flowers and ivy would look really pretty. Anyways, here are a few pics of what I did.

Here is my beloved Hydrangea that I planted by the garage. I absolutely love Hydrangeas but it likes to be watered every day. I hope I can keep up with that all summer!

In the back flowerbed I actually didn't have to plant anything. This all grew back from what the previous owners had planted. All I did was put pine straw down.

Your flowers look nice and I can tell how much work that was. the big plants in front of the house really don't look bad.
Yes, after watching how much Jason works in our yard with plants, I have the utmost respect for anyone who puts the time in to do that stuff! Looks very nice! And I like that you added in some PURPLE flowers too - that's important not to forget your KSU roots when you are married to an Aggie! :)
Having seen the "Before" flowerbeds last November, the "After" pix let me really appreciate all your hard work. Can't believe how pretty the huge Azalea are - they were just big green bushes in Nov.
