Last weekend we went to the bay. On Saturday, Jason's Aunt Becky & Uncle Richard came over and brought their two grandsons, Chase & Braxton. Chase is Zachary's age so Z was very excited about having a playmate for the day. They got there a little bit before we left to go fishing (more on that later). When we got back the boys did some fishing of their own. Here is Richard helping them catch their first fish.
Chase caught the first one.
Not long after, Zachary caught one. His very first fish!
Here he is showing his daddy.
The boys kept fishing but they did take a break to check out the crabs....

I was enjoying taking pictures of Zachary with his fish. He was so proud. He wanted to save it to use as bait.

I think this picture is so sweet.

Okay....so the fishing trip. Where do I begin. Well it was rough as all get out. I finally got to go fishing for the first time all summer and I was really looking forward to it. Jeb & his girlfriend, Melissa, joined us for the adventure. Jason told me while he was at the marina getting gas that someone said it was rough out. We had no idea. There were like 6-8 ft. waves and it took over an hour to go 13 miles. But, besides being soaked head to toe from the waves crashing into the boat, I was fine on the way out there. When we finally got to where we were going I asked Melissa if she ever got sea sick. She said no, not really. At that very moment I thought I felt something coming on so I went and got Linda's wrist bands that are supposed to help with motion sickness. Yeah....I was a little late in putting those on. It was so rough we were all having a hard time just standing up in the boat. While Jason manned the boat/steering, Jeb & Melissa got a couple rods in the water. I, however, was concentrating on not throwing up. Jeb got one bite but lost it and after about 15 minutes I literally could not stand it any longer. Jason says if I had actually thrown up I would have felt better. I don't doubt him but all your life you try NOT to throw up so I just couldn't make myself do it. It was the worst feeling in the world. Seriously, one of the very worst. So we headed back in. I felt horrible but I really don't think we would have been able to catch anything anyways since it was so bad out. Once we got back to the house Jason and Jeb decided to chill out and have a beer. Melissa and I laid out for a bit trying to dry off from the wet ride. I'm glad we came back early though because we got to see Zachary catch his first fish. I am disappointed though. I was looking forward to bringing dinner home. It was the last weekend for Red Snapper fishing.

I'm so sorry you got seasick...what a bummer. I'm so with you though...I'll do anything to avoid throwing up. That's about the worst thing in the world to me too!
The first time I went scuba diving I got sick, so I know how that feeling is beforehand - miserable! Simon is so cute in that picture - his eyes are so expressive!
